Growth despite perfect storm
JETTE - Despite a perfect storm (a bad summer with little solar radiation, rising installation costs due to corona, rising prices for raw materials, rising transport prices, a lack of consumer confidence after the debacle of the meter running backwards in Flanders), EnergyVision continues to grow in 2021.
Some eye catching installations were commissioned (e.g. the football stadiums of RSC Anderlecht and KAA Gent), but also hundreds of other installations were built and connected to the grid: in Flanders, in Brussels, in Morocco and in China.
Right now, we have 88 MWp of built installations in 2021 (which means we installed 250,000 solar panels this year). At year’s end we will probably reach 95 MWp, same as 292,000 solar panels.
On top of all this, we have the launch of Brusol Mobility (a network of 1,000 charging points) and our activities as an energy supplier which will make 2021 the eighth consecutive year of growth.
